Epitalon
Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, CAS 307297-39-8) first isolated from pineal gland extracts and structurally related to the natural peptide epithalamin. In human somatic cell cultures, it has been reported to increase telomerase activity via hTERT upregulation and to influence melatonin synthesis enzyme expression in pinealocyte models. It is a research tool for studying telomere biology and pineal-hypothalamic neuroendocrine signaling. Supplied lyophilized for in vitro research use only.
